Has a Manufacturer Produced a Nintendo New Switch ?
As first reported last month by Eurogamer that manufacturer would be Nyxi. And it is putting out a new Nintendo Switch controller.
The new device is modelled after the GameCube controller and on top of that Nyxi the manufacturer claims this new controller will never suffer from the Joy-Con drift.
The NYXI Wizard Controller Turns Your Switch Into a Game Cube
The NYXI Wizard is a Nintendo Switch Joycon replacement, which means that it separates into two individual controllers to slide on to the Switch.
For nearly six years now, Joy-Con drift has been an issue surrounding the Nintendo Switch, as some players around the world have been complaining about degradation of the Switch’s controllers causing disruptive stick inputs.
Orders for the “Wizard” controller are officially open over on Nyxi’s website. You can actually purchase the new wireless controller for $69 plus shipping. It really looks like a classic GameCube controller, but comes with a split design allowing it to slide either side of the Switch display. This wireless Joy-pad for Switch/Switch OLED is a piece of hardware for those who want the most precise response, and ergonomics for their Switch.
The NYXI Wizard Wireless Joy-Pad has an array of customized features, including two remappable back buttons and interchangeable joystick rings. You can for example put an octagonal joystick circle on the controller when you are about to play a fighting game or use a round joystick to play racing games. In addition, NYXI claims the battery life is about 6.5 hours on a single full charge.
However, one of the biggest selling points for the Wizard controller is the claim that it will not suffer from Joy-Con drift. NYXI claims it can achieve this because the controller uses a Hall Effect joystick (which inolves a magnetic system meaning that the joystick never physically touches the sensor itself).
With Joy-Con drift one of the biggest issues with the Nintendo Switch at this point, this controller could be an answer to those looking for a solution to this issue.
